The Observatoire des Sciences de l’Univers (OSU) Ecce Terra, established in 2010, is a research center at the UPMC. It coordinates 14 laboratories and 1500 researchers around the earth sciences, climate and ecology. Among its missions, it includes the study of the interactions between science and society on environmentally-related questions.
Role in HoNESt
The UPMC research team will make three key contributions to HoNESt:
The UPMC group will be participating in WP2 as part of the Network of partners collecting data and testimonies about nuclear developments in Europe, by focusing on the production of a report on the history of nuclear energy and society in France. In addition, the group at the UPMC will produce a report on the history of the radioisotope industry in Europe. Moreover, the UPMC will also help disseminating the results at a national level (WP6).
