The Swedish Defence University (now known as SDU) was established as a national university in 2008, but has roots as a military college going back to the 19th Century. The task of the SDU is to contribute towards national and international security through research and development, training both military and civilian personnel in leading positions. The SDU participates in the project through the Leadership Centre, which has a behavioural science profile and a strong tradition of international cooperation and research.

Role in HoNESt

The SDU Leadership Centre will contribute to the social science work in WP:s 3 and 4, and also take an active part in dissemination and engagement activities.
