Conference on “Nuclear Technology in the Context of Political Change”

Information on the Event

A conference on “Nuclear Technology in the Context of Political Change” will take place at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona on January 17-18, 2019, in the framework of Dr. Tatiana Kasperski's Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship on the same subject. This interdisciplinary conference will address challenges for the governance of nuclear energy and energy systems in general in the context of political transformations in several settings and time periods. The participants will discuss these transformations in still weakly-studied former communist geographies of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and compare them to the experience of such non-communist European countries with authoritarian past as Spain and Greece. Programme is available here.
